The Gretsch Renown Maple 20'' 4pc Shell Pack is one of the most versatile drum kits ever made. This kit provides the sensitivity and touch to handle the smoothest grooves of the 1950s, the attack and projection required for the powerful compositions of the 60s and 70s, and the clarity and vibrance needed to faithfully reproduce the clean studio sounds of the 80s, 90s, and beyond. The Renown Maple kit delivers the traditional Gretsch sound with an incredible open, harmonic tone that supplies the versatility for any drummer.

The classic 7-ply Gretsch formula maple shells offer a warm tone that sounds perfect in any studio or on any stage. With 30-degree bearing edges and exclusive ‘’silver sealer’’ interiors, these shells provide the perfect resonance.

Maple shells provide an even amount of highs and mids, with slightly warm lows. These shells are incredibly all-purpose – use them for any style or genre and they will thrive.

302 hoops provide maximum resonance

This Renown kit comes with a new twist with the addition of the Gretsch's player-friendly “302” hoop—the same hoop used on Gretsch's Brooklyn and Broadkaster series drums. Gretsch 302 hoops produce the desirable focused sound like that of a die cast hoop, but are lighter in weight and less rigid, allowing the drum to better “breathe” and achieve maximum resonance.
