The Sabian HHX Complex 20” Thin Crash Cymbal takes full advantage of the innovative production techniques previously tried and tested in the making of the fantastic HHX Evolution and Legacy cymbal ranges and adds a little twist, producing a brand new flavour in the HHX family. The master artisans have been hard at work in the legendary Sabian Vault,  pushing their craft to the limit in order to imbue this crash with its shimmering dark character.

The HHX Complex Thin Crash generates a mature sound, more like a volcanic eruption than a thunderous crash. Although dark in nature, it still possesses a musical sweetness that permeates its wash and decays with confidence. Its volume, sustain and spread are all well-balanced for a versatile sound which will suit a great many different styles of music, and its attack is focused and clear - yet not at all sharp or abrupt - providing strong accents without ever jumping too far out of your kits sonic bubble.  This cymbal’s underlying sizzling heat is created by a hand-hammered pattern which is similar to that of the HH and HHX lines combined with a raw, hammered bell.

This crash is capable of producing a vast and versatile array of expression, all tinged with the HHX line’s dark flavour. Dynamic and clear, this crash is perfect for both live or studio use.
