Crafted in Japan and using uniquely designed lugs & hoops, the Starphonic series snare drums come in a variety of different materials and sizes, running the gamut of timbre, texture, and tonal articulation. The limited edition TAMA Starphonic Maple Snare Drum in Elm Figured Maple finish, features a 6mm, 6ply maple shell with figured maple outer ply in an emerald figured maple finish. As well as TAMA's Grooved Hoops to enhance the natural tone of the drum and project the sound upwards, while offering more sensitivity, precision, and control. PFM145-EFM also features 20 strand Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wires for greater sensitivity and a brighter, crisper sound.
