Confirming the theme of punchy and focused sound, the shallow bass drum features 22'' x 14'' dimensions for that punchy staccato thump often lost in deeper drums. The shell also features a thicker 8mm 5-ply outer layer in contrast to the toms. The Starclassic Walnut / Birch is the ideal choice for the professional drummer looking for a high-quality, focused, and rich tone for their groove sessions, whatever the style may be.

The forefront of innovation

Tama have often been at the forefront of hardware innovation. The Starclassic series is no exception. Tama quick-lock tom brackets make setting up your toms easier than ever before. Once the drum is positioned, it saves your drum position without the need for separate memory locks. The quick-lock tom bracket also features rubber lining to isolate the drums and enhance resonance.

Cushioned floor tom legs keep drums firmly positioned and protected. Designed with a special air chamber that absorbs shock and helps eliminate the transfer of vibrations to the floor, they provide a more comfortable playing experience.

Superior die-cast hoops

Tama's die-cast hoops are some of the best hoops around. Manufactured by injecting molten zinc into molds, they are denser and more consistent in shape than triple-flanged hoops. This careful process helps refine a crisp, clear, and focused attack, with powerful rimshots. Not only do they provide a superior playing experience, they also provide more consistent tuning because of the greater contact between the tension rods and hoop.
