Vic Firth's American Heritage 5A Maple Drumsticks are based upon the company's most popular model; the 'American Classic', but are made out of maple rather than the classic hickory for greater rebound. This series allows drummers to experience the feel of a lighter, faster stick. Maple is 10 percent lighter than hickory, which allows usage of a larger-diameter stick without it being too heavy.
